Fall is just around the corner and while some people can't wait for everything pumpkin spice, we are on team apple! From apple picking and making applesauce, to apple crisp and warm apple pies, we are here for it.

Today we're sharing one of our favorite recipes for a fall favorite in our family - apple butter. Not only does it taste amazing, it's super easy to make. With busy fall schedules and holidays approaching, we love easy!

All you need are Gala apples, brown sugar, salt and a cinnamon stick to make our yummy slow-cooker apple butter. It makes a bunch and the jars are great for gifting! Simply wrap with some cute ribbon or twine and add a custom mini spoon to complete the gift.

We have typically used Gala apples, but you can definitely switch it up if you have another kind you prefer. Golden Delicious, Granny Smith or Pink Lady apples offer a nice, tart blend!

Dad would have been proud.
